A short hike in the snow was ideal for the little ones. With a bit of help from us adults, they all made it to the falls.
I had to keep reighing in my two eldest grandchildren. They were very eager to go ahead. After about 10-minutes in the alders, we got into the larger treed area.

4-year old Julianne needed Oma's help when the wet snow made things slippery.

At the broken bridge Ellie and I helped the little ones get up and over.

Nick made use of the rail.

My large whacky family of which I am intensely proud. We grieve the loss of my husband, their father and Opa as this day was dedicated to him. In the evening we had a big birthday party for what would've been Case's 68th.

Jeanette & Willem had booked flights for Case's birthday party before he passed away. So they decided to still come and still celebrate with friends and family.

Lindeman Lake
Stats: 5.37 km / 282m gain
I parted ways with my offspring once back at the vehicles. I figured since I was so close to Lindeman Lake, why not get a more vigorous work out? It took me 40 minutes to hike to the lake, having parked a bit up the hill where the road turns right to Chilliwack Lake.

There were four people spending the night.

I strapped on my micro-spikes before heading back down.
